Project impacts till June 2008
- All the 300 farm ponds created in project participants WADI’s are filled with run off water and has been used for hand watering of horticulture plants
- Fifty four self help groups formed under the projects have started savings and amount in the groups so far is Rs.94,500/-.
- The Survival rate of horticulture plants ranges from 90 to 96 % and forestry ranges from 65 % to 70.
- Animal husbandry department has extended the support for conducting Animal health camps in the cluster.
- The participants who under went Human Resource Development course have shown attitudinal change and participating actively in the project programmes. It is observed that the participants have given away tobacco chewing and drinking alcohol.
